Part of your VBN could also include Blogger blogs, and using the WordPress hosting option, which means you can build a blog and host it with WordPress for around a tenner a year, plus the renewal cost of the domain name. So, let us say that you are trying to push an escort website such as https://escorts-tenerife.net/ You can gradually buy a number of domains¡ names (this will cost you around eight to fufteen euros for each domain name and then build sites, or use WordPress hosting, or use Google’s Blogger system to host them for free. The temptation will obviously be to just put everything on Blogger or WordPress, because it is easy, cheap and you need to know nothing about the internet or web design. But the problem is that the search engines will recognise that all the domain names are hosted with the same people and have the same IP address. Which means that they are all connected. Which makes their links back your escort web site extremely suspicious. And rightly so.

So if you are going to use this approach, you will at some point need to use fully paid hosting and/or build your own sites. So if you are going to go down the VBN route then at some point you will have to learn about web design. As well as how to build, host, control and manage a website. Which – and I have to declare an interest here – is better done by professionals. In Part 8 I will round off the subject off SEO and show you how to combine the different approaches we have discussed so far. And then onto what happens once people start to find your site!

First a cautionary note – choose your SEO Agency wisely. It is very easy for the wrong one to totally screw up your web site with the big search engines irreparably. That is especially true of Google, who take a really dim view of anyone trying to game the system. And they will “sandbox” your site for months, if not forever. A conservative agency that will be thorough and do things right rather than going for quick results is almost always better.

Your website design agency will probably also do SEO as well. If not, they will be able to recommend two or three. But remember to ask whether they have experience in building backlinks for adult businesses. It is very different to promoting garden centres!

Assuming they do, a good SEO agency will recommend adding two or three new backlinks a week from really reputable sites. They will also say that you could add a few links every week from lower ranking sites just to make everything seem as natural as possible to the search engines and their “spiders” that crawl the web checking out sites. Depending on who they work with, they might ask you to write articles, they may supply articles for you, or the web sites that are linking back to you may even write articles for you and add a link back to your site. But you will always need articles. They need to three hundred and fifty to five hundred words at least, and about a subject that is relevant to your escort agency and the location it is working in. If you cannot write well enough, you will need to have them done for you. I never said this was cheap.

But having an agency build a strong and relevant backlink profile for you steadily and regularly is one of the most effective ways to show the search engines that your escort agency is real, serious, and high quality. Which is why they will rank it above agencies that are none of those things.

In Part 4 of How To Build An Escort Business I focused on making sure that the “on pages” search engine optimisation of your site is as effective and well thought through as possible. That means using the keywords you have identified in the right percentages, having enough of the right kind of additional material such as maps and YouTube videos. But let me give you the most important tip about web design that I can. Do not trust your web design agency to get on with it. Check their work. Make sure it is done properly. Do not trust what they advise you until you have read around and checked on it yourself. Do not even trust what I am telling you until you have checked it out. Making your website work effectively with the big search engines takes time, patience and research.

The more links you have and the better quality the websites that link to you the higher your ranking with the search engines. That is the basic description. And it sounds easy enough. In Part 3 I showed you how to select a domain name and find a web design agency to build your site for you. Now you know what to put on the site. Well, I would suggest starting your site small and gradually building it as you apply Search Engine Optimisation and backlink building to the site. By a small site, I mean in terms of the number of pages. The basic is 5 pages plus a blog page. Those five basic pages are: Home, Recruitment, About Us, Contact (plus blog). Rates and Terms. When the sire is big enough you can add in a gallery page. But you do not need it initially if you lay out the home page properly.

The it is “off page” optimisation, which is what we discuss in Part 5.

Now you can go to Godaddy and buy your domain name. It should be based on your keyword research and preferably a dot com or dot net. Being a bit (OK, a lot!) of a geek I actually find the keyword research and playing around with potential domain names good fun. So sue me! Anyway, assuming that you are going for a single location business to start with rather being over ambitious and trying to start out with several locations at once, it is relatively easy to play with the search terms and some hyphens to come up with a website domain name that will logically fit with the way Google works. Basically the more your website name fits with the search term, the more you will succeed on Googles first stage. Now, having bought your domain name you need to organise hosting and have your website built. Are you an expert in website building and SEO? The chances are that if you are looking at this article you are not. So do not even think about doing this yourself. It is too important to your business and easy to irreparably screw up. So how do you find a website building company that will do the job well?

I would strongly suggest that you look for a firm that has experience of the adult industry. Preferably of the escort industry. Making a website that works in the escort business is very different to making one for real estate, clothing or recruitment. In Part One of How To Build An Escort Business, I looked at how to identify the best potential markets by comparing the volume of potential client against the number of competitors. If you do this thoroughly and do not feel tied down to your current home town, you will find that there are some surprising answers. Before you launch full bore into building an escort agency, one thing to also think about is seasonality. Paris, for example, empties of locals during August leaving only tourists. You might be tempted to jump straight onto the Godaddy website and buy a domain name that appeals to you. If you are going to build a site with multiple locations, then yes you can start with a neutral domain name (I would still recommend having “escort” in it somewhere though.) But if you are just going for location, much better to have something that fits with the words people put into Google when they search for escorts (Keywords or search terms). But if four get one thousand one hundred and one gets nine thousand five hundred it would be easy to choose the wrong one(s). Much better just to put every search term you can think of for escorts in your chosen location into Google Trends and see what you find. There will usually be a couple of search terms that stand out. OK, that is not too different from the average Small to Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) so before I start explaining my thoughts on the question, I need you to make a (hopefully) small mental leap. I want you to forget your views about prostitution, prostitutes and the sex industry. It is important that you disregard the myths and click-bait scare stories that you may have read. Likewise, to really understand what I have to suggest, you have make a shift ijn your perception. Just think of the sex industry as an industry. There is a need, there are customers, there are suppliers, and there are businesses bringing buyer and seller together to make a profit. Economics 101 – supply and demand. So, let me start with my thoughts on how to build a successful business.

Then you have to compare that with the number and quality of your potential competitors. Barcelona, for example, has a population of 1.6 million, plus tourist traffic, which is extremely high as well. So it is obviously attractive to start an escort agency in Barcelona. But there are also dozens of brothels and escort agencies, which makes it very hard to make your mark. Marbella, on the other hand has only one hundred and seventy thousand residents plus tourists. But there are far fewer agencies and brothels. So you have to weigh market size against competition. Once you have made the selection of your market, then you have to start your business.

There are books available through Amazon and a few websites too. And most of them emphasise paper advertising, Yellow Pages, all that sort of nice old fashioned stuff.
